Our regular readers and our WOW email list friends know that recently we had planned a Stargazing event that we had to cancel because of the weather prediction. We actually canceled the event more than a day before it was to occur. And then last week many people were disappointed that the expected lunar eclipse was not visible to us because of the weather. Daniel Caton, professor of physics and astronomy at Appalachian State Univ. in Boone, NC has experience with planning stargazing and moon gazing events that have to be canceled.
